The challenge
Marston’s, one of the UK’s leading pub retailing businesses, was undergoing significant change as it approached 2020. With a new vision of ‘pubs to be proud of,’ they needed
a People Promise that would express this ambition, highlight the employee experience,
and differentiate Marston’s from the competition. It had to speak to a diverse group,
from bar and kitchen staff to Operations Managers, Pub Partners, and Corporate colleagues.
The solution
The solution was to create a People Promise that celebrated the real, everyday moments
that make Marston’s special.
The creative approach used down-to-earth, docu-style photography, focusing on authentic stories and showcasing the people at the heart of Marston’s. This approach reflected
the warmth and community spirit that defines the business.
