The challenge
FIFA’s volunteers are the heart and soul of every event, but while a standalone volunteer brand and manifesto had been developed, they were missing two key elements: a name and a launch plan. The brand needed to be brought to life in
a way that truly captured the spirit of FIFA’s volunteer community.
The solution
That’s where ‘Beat as One’ came in. A name was created that embodied unity and passion, the brand was then expanded on to give it a distinct, cohesive look and feel.
To bring this vision to life, a single volunteer platform was developed that brought FIFA’s global community of volunteers together, streamlining processes and ensuring continuity across all FIFA events. An online hub packed with useful information on tournaments,
volunteer stories and training tutorials.
Since being activated ahead of the Qatar World Cup, it has gone on to spread far and wide, across 19 different FIFA tournaments and events in 14 different countries.
Along the way, more than one million people have signed up to the ‘Beat as one’ global community of volunteers.
